Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens, March 18, 1970, in Newark. The second daughter of Lance and Rita Owens, Latifah is most famous for her involvement in performance skills, political stance and a talent for rhyme. At 8 years old, her cousin from Islam gave her the name Latifah which translates to "delicate" and "sensitive" in Arabic. Latifah sang with the choir of the Shiloh Baptist church located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Her first public performance when she sang "Home" as one of the two Dorothys in a production of The Wizard of Oz. Latifah's mother was the catalyst as she was always in contact with the students as well as the music. Mark James, a local disc jockey, also known as D.J., was invited to the party.
