Niykee has experienced an eventful few years, including getting picked by Snoop to join Snoop at The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine even though she has been a bit busy. She is now a magnet for aspiring producers she constantly combs through beats she receives and finds that many are able to spark song ideas. After five seconds, I'm able to tell what a song is or not. After that, I have an idea of an original song, and start writing the lyrics immediately. While I play the guitar outside on my porch I begin writing, and words flow. A majority of the time it is completed in just about 30 minutes. The pain of Niykee's childhood can be a constant source of inspiration as she develops as an author. "Even in the absence of writing about my own life in the open the grief of losing my sister and the pain of my childhood is incorporated in my lyrics," she says. My songs are inspired by my experiences and I see the bigger picture beneath every single thing. That's one of the elements that is significant to me.
